Stax Record Company's "Studio A"

Stand where Otis Redding stood when he recorded "These Arms of Mine." Stand and listen to rare out-takes of studio sessions. Elvis, Confunkshun, the Bar Kays, the Memphis Horns, Hot Buttered Soul - the list of musicians and groups that recorded in this very location is endless. The spirits are here; this is where it all began. Studio A is a recreation of the original studio in the old converted Capitol Theater, where all of the great Stax hits were created, and includes some of the very instruments that helped make the magic sound. Imagine the transition from an old movie theatre to the source of sound that has endeared itself to the world. Even today, when artists visit Memphis, they have to visit Studio A to stand in this spot and feel the spirit of musical greatness.
